Modifying Adventure Screen

I find the screen generates a lot of noise from turbulence and was considering chopping the reverse lip off or making it a bit higher.

Raising my head slightly into cleaner air is a lot quieter.

Has anyone tried any mods and if so what happened?

I tried going taller (im 6'2'' with a small addition (modified helmet visor) but it just created more turbulance. I also mounted an 1100gs screen hoping the extra width and 6 in tall height would help.....nada. The front end is just dirty on this bike and I think shorter..with your head in clean air, will be the best bet.

Well, at least i tried....

It didnt take long to take the top 2 inches off with a jig saw.

Not a great success. It was even noisier and at 70-80 mph i could feel a lot more pressure on my shoulders.

50-60 was just less pressure and noise. They had it right. Ooops.

I'm going to glue it back on tomorrow.
