leaking front forks in Ethiopia
 

I have a problem with leaking front fork. I am in Ethiopia and I m looking for a good mechanic in Addis or in Djibouti. Any sugestions what to do if I will not find one?

Hiya, dont know if you have done it or not already, but sometimes if you just release the pressure in the forks by the screw in the top, that can help, cos sometimes they leak only cos the pressure builds up.

You can also use your roll of film to try and fix it. Cut a small piece of the film (about 4 inches long). If there is some dirt between the slider and the fork seal they will leak. slide the film against the fork tube into the space between the fork slider and seal turn it 360 degrees around the tube while pulling it back down. THis may help, however KTMs are notorious for leaking fork seals.
