LC4E 18/20L Tank wanted...

Hi all...

First posting in a while from me .. it's nice to be planning another trip now. Since my last one, I had to part company with the 950 Adv, so bought a 640 Adv instead - the bank manager said that had to go too so off it went to its new home in Bognor (you lucky bugger Richard!)

Anyway - I have a perverse way with trying to make the best of what I've got, and what I've got is my old LC4 400E! So - it's had a lovely FCR fitted so it'll keep up with my mate's EXC now, but only 12 litres fuel capacity...

I found a 20l tank on Ebay a few weeks ago and bought it, but the f*cking b@stard in Austria took my money and never sent the tank - makes you feel good doesn't it? Grrrr! Anyway - I've mentally written that off now so I need to find another tank, or at least a credible alternative to holding about 25/30 litres of fuel...

Ideally I'd like another 20l tank, so if anyone has got one they're willing to sell or trade then please let me know, otherwise I'd welcome any other thoughts about fuel pods etc...

All feedback welcome

Greg

Talking

Greg,

A few months back I noticed a used 20L tank not doing very much in the workshop of Marsh Performance (01752 844456).

Cheers.

Somewhat off topic

Greg,
Ebay have a protection scheme for such scams me thinks - I may be confused on the subject, but it is worth checking with them for compensation.
It's certainly a pain when such deals come to nothing, without being out of pocket.

long distance tank for LC4 400

Got a few options which may suite...
- 1 x black 18 ltr
- 1 x silver 28 ltr
- 1 x orange (transluscent) 28 ltr

I've got the fuel pump which you'd need for a 28 ltr tank to be able to use the full tank capacity (the fuel sits beow the carb so you can't gravity feed the full tank capacity) - It's pretty straight fwd to fit on the 400 lc4. You'll also need the radiator bracket/mounts to support the tank for the 28 ltr ... which I also have ... long story! Anyway if you're still looking & interested give me a shout

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
