KTM folding mirrors

Morning!

Having now got very bored indeed of breaking mirrors, I'm trying to get hold of a pair of the longer stem (280mm) KTM folding mirrors. So far I've found this Shop by PART NUMBER - Gear 4 Direct but the guys there don't know if they're long or short stem - apparently they're the ones on the 625 and 660 SMC and SXC models.

If anyone know either whether those are the ones I want, or where else in the UK I could get them, could you let me know?

Otherwise I'll just have to get a smaller bike so I don't drop it so much :blushing:

Thanks!

Laura

Hi Laura,

I use these round ones which have a better field of view than the oval ones.

Ther are described as 'Mirror Folding Type KTM SXC, SMC, EXC Black Round Left or Right Fitting'.

prompt replies, quick delivery.

I fitted the same Vicma ones in the image, bought from wemoto if you are in the UK, they seem to be the equivalent length of the original ones in operation and mine have just completed 20,000 miles across Russia and through Mongolia without any drama, aren't terribly vibey or anything so whilst mirrors aren't that exciting I'd have to say I am happy with them.

Edit: measured the stem length on those, it's about 180mm

1st mod must have !!

this round KTM SXC mirrors where one of my first modification I did fit to my 2002 LC4 640 which I bought 2nd hand in 2005... yes still using the same now, 8 years later, they did never let me down in all this years, covering 63.000Km so far, only had to replace one of them after a crash in 2008 on tarmac, only because the glass where smashed, not the arm nor the housing, which folded them self out of the way.
Nerveless this SXC mirrors never failed in offroad condition where it is very common to drop the bike frequently...

This are perfect for filtering to the front of a traffic lights between cars or for a quick wizz in to the woods where there is limited space, even for pushing the bike in to a doorway in to my workshop... just perfect, just swivel them inwards and off you go... the best mirrors ever made in my opinion... very much recommended and good value for money anyway...

Ktm centre in Hemel Hempstead stocks folding mirrors - reasonable price too.

Could anyone who has the Vicma mirrors tell me what length the thread is please?

I've got these on my 990 Adventure since five years:
SMAT NORD Universal mirror, adjustable | Polo-Motorrad
But with a slight modification: Secured it with two M4 Screws.

or this one:
Offroad-Kontor MX Enduro Motocross Rallye KTM Zubehör-FAR Klappspiegel Spiegel mit Gelenk M8

Depends on the thread you need.
