KTM 525
As a desert bike for short runs out from a central base what are your thoughts on a KTM 520 with a 640 tank and seat? Keep the weight down, get a reasonable range, better seat(a little!) and a whole lot of fun?!!!!
Has anyone ever tried this? Dave |

Hi David,
Here in Spain we have a lot of rally/raids competions, some of which have similar condidions to some african rallies like the Moroccan. One of the most popular bikes for this type of rally is the KTM525 exc with the 13/18 litre tank from the LC4 (depending on required range) with a modify seat (a combination of the LC4 and exc). Another modification often seen is a steering shock absorber (such as scotts or onhlins). If you get a bike like I assure you hours of fun. Cheers |
