front fender on 640 adv 2004

The front fender on the 2004 adv 640 wraps around the tire instead of high above like a regular bike. This does not work in mud since the mud gets stuck between the tire and the front fender and the fender will get ripped off. I was about to take it off and place a regular fender on but then what do I do with the brake line for the second disc brake? Any ideas suggestions?

Sommer sell a kit for the 950. As the front end is similar to the 640, might it fit?
