Maybe these guys can help you?

Look on the links page...

Or perform a dealer search from the main ktm site?

Dalby Moto in Qld, Australia

http://www.ktm.com.au/dealer.php?dealer=16

These guys have a bit of a reputation in Australia for being one of the better bike shops as well as being a KTM dealer. The owner, Craig Hartley, races the Australian Safari on his KTM Rallye (raced the '04 Aust. Safari on his KTM 950 !) and is a genuine guy.

There is a good KTM dealer in Nairobi, Kenya owned by Ian Duncan. Workshop manager and chief mechanic is Bruce.

Very very expensive for parts, but labour costs very cheap, and the service had the bike running very well. Offer to pay cash and you will avoid paying VAT on the parts.

Perill MT21s tyres are available, but cost about US$200 for the rear, slightly less for the front.

Physical address is

Mobil Garage
Hardy Estate
Langata.

It can be a bit tricky to find. Head out of Nairobi towards Nairobi National Park and the suburb of Karen. About five kms after the National Park, turn left at the sign pointing to the giraffe centre, ride straight for a couple of kms, and then it is a right turn into a Mobil garage in Hardy Estate.

I second the recommendation for Dalby Moto in Australia - even though I've never been to Australia. They once kindly, and correctly, diagnosed a problem on my Adventure by e-mail, quickly and politely.

KTMDave 3 Aug 2005 11:28

Do NOT use the KTM dealer in Guatemala City.

With 40,000 km on my 03 Adventure I asked them to do a general service, check all bearings, change fork oil, and tru my bent wheels.

Problems
1 When changing the oil they could only add 1.5l. i.e probably forgot the frame oil.
2 Did not replace fuel lines on tank securely. When I turned on the link hose tap I knocked the hose. It came loose pouring fuel all over the hot engine.
3 Lost the small washer between the front sprocket and conical washer. Conical washer deformed, sprocket bolt was loose and shagged the transmission o ring.
4 Cleaned the oil filter. It was bone dry without a drop of oil.
5 Tightened the front spokes to the point where they cracked the rim. $500 for a replacement.

Thank god they forgot to check the bearings and change the fork oil. When I asked how they would get the oil out the forks they pointed to the rebound adjusters at the bottom of the forks like they were drain bolts.

Easy to find: on the N4 from Joburg about 1km before the R70 crosses the N4. Turn into the Shell station and double back 200 metres.

He spotted a wrong seal on my back axle and a completely knackered bearing. I had previously asked Clayton Enslin to replace all the wheel bearings before heading north and had been told this had been done. A lucky escape.

The best KTM mechanic i've been to in SA (out of five!) I wish they were all like him.

I found a KTM off-road tour company ýn Demerýtas, Turkey, wýth a fully equýped workshop. They maýnly work on 450s, but seem to know theýr way around an LC4 as well. Durýng summer the býkes and workshop cater for the holýday crowd ýn Marmarýs, but durýng wýnter they are based out of Demerýtas.

The workshop was run by an Englýsh expat, Chrýs, who gave me a free run of the workshop to work on my own býke. There are two Turkýsh mechanýcs as well, Aydýn & Serkan. Chrýs was very thorough when I asked for hýs help ýn adjustýng my valves. The turkýsh guys were good but make sure you check everythýng ýs done to your satýsfactýon, as otherwýse the job may only be done 95%.

Parts and consumables are expensýve, but they gave me a free room for fýve nýghts and I went for a great traýl rýde wýth them as well, so I cant complaýn!

Workshop ýn Demerýtas ýs about 20kms past Alanya headýng east. Turn off the coastal hýghway and ýt ýs about 3kms away on the back roads. Call ahead for them to pýck you up as I forgot to download the GPS poýnt.

The list can't be complete without Triple-D Motosport in the UK. The owner and head mechanic, Julian Stevens, is also the chief mechanic of David Knight, the KTM factory team rider who won the E3 enduro world championship last year.

What Julian doesn't know about KTMs isn't known, and his is the only place in the UK that I've found with the professional kit to properly strip, lower and rebuild suspension.

He doesn't allow his workshop to be fully booked so that there's always room to take care of people's 'emergencies' before an event.

Not only that, but he's a really nice guy, and always manages to find the time to make people very welcome.

Great mehanic in Pato and english speaking apprentice, Hans, know his stuff too.
They're on Bernard O'Higgins which is the main road into town, can't miss it on the right hand side 6 or so blocks into town.

These guys specialise in dirt bikes and support the regions number one rider so know they're stuff. I had my bike in there 4 days, worked on it myself plus had help from the boys (water pump seal, fork seal plus loads of other stuff) and they only charged me $100US which I thought was top notch. These guys can actually fix things and find solutions to problems rather than just replacing parts

Cheers guys,

Pete
