Question Does KTM950 need re-jetting with Acrapovic exhaust?

I have plans to change the original exhaust end cans to Acrapovic ones.
My bike is a 2007 KTM 950 R superenduro. The original stainless steel ones get burning hot and weigh far to much.
My questions are:
Do i need to re-jet?
If yes; what size jets and what size needles?
Does anybody have photo's of the procedure?
Does anyone have a set of Acrapovic end cans for sale (type with the 3 bolt connection)
Thanks for any help i get.

Hi Pete
I have the 950 Adventure with akros fitted you do not need to re jet but they do recomend liffting the throttle needle one position.
The only time you need to re jet would be if you were Living at high altitudes.
I would fit the new cans and then go for a ride check the performance and note changes in fuel consumption if any, also check color of spark plugs, if its running weak raise the needles one notch if its OK then leave and enjoy.
Hope this helps

I never re jet but probably best to get it on a dyno rather than trial and error.

Hi Peter,

The same question I asked the dealer three years ago I bought my 950 Adventure and the answer was-no.The bike has a 40k kms already, most of them(35 thousands let say)with Acrapovic silencers and have to report without any problems at all.
Enjoy.

Regards,

Simon

Hello Peter
From your Biker's Home in Ouarzazate, as promised, I carried your question to Bracken Motorcycles with whom I have just spoken today.

They confirm that for your bike, you do not need change anything-
Your original exhausts bolts might be 'welded on' but aside from fitting the new end cans, nothing else needs be changed or modified! so that's good news- no need to transport your bike to KTM dealership!
All the best and thank you again for looking after me so well
Bertrand
