Needed: source for used KTM Adventure parts

Hello. I'm in the middle of building my next bike for my ATW tour. It's a combination of the Suzuki DR650 with the KTM 640 Adventure front suspension and fairing. What i need is the twin head lights and their corresponding carrier. I'm looking for used parts, new is pretty expensive and i could use that money elsewhere. If someone could provide me with some good sources of used parts, weather commercial or private, would be an enormous help to me!
Please PM me, or even better, e-mail me at adventman at mac dot calm.
Mr. Ron...

Hi Colebatch. I got everything from ADVrider. The guy with the forks and wheel was in Toronto and the fairing was somewhere in the states. There's a guy in the flea market here that has a set of forks and clamps for sale in England right now. Why would you want to change out the forks on your x-challenge? Aren't they Marzzocci USD? Because your x-challenge is a lighter bike, you could use a dirt bike front end, like from the 450 or 525. The only difference is the internals, and possibley the bottom axel carriers. You can use any of the KTM triple clamps, your choices would be weather you want rubber mounts (640 Adventure), solid dirt bike handle bar mounts, and your off-set, which varies with all models. Stick with the 4860's! Stay away from 4054's and 4357's. Not that they are bad forks, they are just out dated. Everything from KTM is currently plug-and-play with the 4860's. PM me if you have any questions.

Look at German Ebay...

Hey Ron, all the parts you are looking for are available in the German Ebay links. If it helps you I have the headlamps carrier from the 2000 Adv as a spare part for my bike in the garage. If you need it, just send me a message and I can send you a pic.
Cheers Ras

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
