950/990 high/low beam question...
 

ive just bought a second hand adventure headlight for a project and am trying to wire it up. i was wondering which light is main and which is low beam and should they both be on for main beam or low? cheers in advance. karl. (ps its got E13 and DOT moulded in. is this a uk light?)

If its a Euro spec light the lower larger reflector is the low beam and the top one is high beam. If its US spec, the lower one is both and the top one is nothing useful at all.

On Euro versions Low beam is always on, high beam supplements it when its turned on.

The difference between US spec and Euro spec are visible in this diagram. The Euro spec (Including mirror image UK version) are far superior to the US version
