Just a thought and hope I'm not breaking any forum rules but I thought it would be a great idea to post a favourite pic of your KLE so some newer members can see some of the set-ups on other KLE's in this forum?
Here is one of my 2007 KLE in Kosciuszko National Park late last year.

Hi ShaunJ.

I particularly enjoyed your first photo.

Having done some racing in a Lotus 7 replica (Caterham series in the UK), I can appreciate that photo.

I have had the opportunity to take my KLE on the track once, and throroughly enjoyed myself.

Love that first one!

Hey Seriesboy, nice touring setup you have there. What brand of aftermarket centrestand are you using?
Cheers
JQ

Hey John,

The centre stand (and the engine bars) are from SW Motech. Very solid all round.

Regards,

Alan.

Hi all.
It's been a while since posted here - and I'm not too sure if others will be able to see this picture I'm posting. If you cant see it, let me know.

I recently spent 3 weeks riding on my own through south eastern Australia and over to Tasmania. The KLE was my 'home'.
It never missed a beat and I did over 5,000 klms all up. It is the perfect lightweight touring machine, in my opinion.

That's a nicely loaded up KLE Lone Star. I noticed you have an aftermarket screen. Is the protection it offers any more effective than the stock screen?
Great photo.

Thanks John - yep, she was loaded up all right. Surprisingly, made riding more comfortable though. I had the tent packed and sitting against my lower back and the tank bag near my lower chest meant that I was wedged in while riding.

Obviously, she wasnt as 'flickable' around the corners as normal because of the extra weight but I had no complaints.

Nice and clean here, day one of the trip.

I have a 'PowerBronze' screen, imported from U.K. I think it was about $165 delivered. High strength & super clear, it seemed better than the others I had seen. It is about half as high again as the standard one, a little bit wider and slightly dished to throw the air up over the helmet.
I rode the same bit of highway on the same day with both screens and there is a definate advantage with the new one; I pretty much have a 'dead air' zone from shoulder to shoulder and up to the top of the visor. I've seen bugs happily buzzing around behind the screen while I'm at speed on the highway... Plus I liked that my vision is still well over the top of the screen, not through it.

Do you ever come down south riding John?

Here is mine.

Just bought mine which is now being stored until I pass my test. My present bike is a YBR125, which I have toured about on and enjoyed, but a bit more power and height will make life better.
