water leak.
hi
i put a replacement engine in my kle, i ran it the other night and water (coolant) ran out of the spark plug drain hole, then stopped after a while, have ridden it today and the was splashes of coolant on the chain side of the swing arm, the enine runs sweet, apart from my carbs need cleaning out, is this from me over filling the water system, or is it another issue like head gasket. I have run it since and no water was coming out of the plg drain hole. |

There are two radiator hoses going into the head, both join pipes which are held in by a single screw and use an O-ring to prevent leakage. This would probably be the source of coolant running out of the drain hole near the spark plug.

Once the coolant is drained and the screw securing the pipe is removed you should be be able to pull the tube out.
If you have the manual (there should be a link somewhere on the site) the best pic I could find is on p125. Cheers Neil |
