Versys

Are there any Versys owners out there? I have a KLE500 but i love the look of the Versys.

I think that Kawasaki should do an "Adventure" version of it, with spoked "off-road" wheels and a good bash plate, much in the way that BMW do a standard Gs and an Adventure.

Would anyone else be interested in a bike like that? I think they would sell like hot cakes.

I would buy one.

I think its a lot nicer looking, and better value than a transalp. What does anyone else think?

They look very cool with the colour coded boxes on, Quite cheap to buy also.

I think a rugged version would do well.

It has to be on the agenda of the big K. In the UK at least, the Versys already has the KLR label, but a new KLR twin to replace the single would be a good move IMO.
There is due to be a spate of new 1200cc bikes next year, following on from, say, the MG Stelvio to compete more with the Beemer offering (e.g. from Yamaha - Super Tenere?).
So more competition in the 650 engine size would be very welcome - especially with the twins.

As a footnote:
BMW will have to raise their prices next year in the UK, with the change in the rate of the £/US$ for the Euro, so the new F650GS is looking like a bargain at present.
