The beauty of tubed tyres is that if you get a puncture, you either get a new tube or patch the puncture until you can get a new tube. The only reason you would replace a tyre is down to wear or obvious damage (especially to a side wall).
using tubless tyres do not affect you option of using tubes, prviding you have a suitable hole for the valve. in this case you have the option of either repair method, and you would have to replace teh tube afetr repair anyway. so I do not see any disadvantage

Officially, if you put a tube in a tubeless tire, you LOWER it's speed rating by one notch. I run a tube in my H rated rear tire, which lowers it's speed rating form a continuous 130 mph to I think 110 if I remember rightly. I can deal with that... since my R80G/S is redlined at 106mph.
