Pyrenees on a KLE

Hi all,

just thought I would share a few pictures of a trip me and my mate did last week. 8 days, west midlands to the Pyrenees and Andorra (and the Med coast), 2200 miles, longest day 370 miles!!

Nice photos Richie, looks like the weather was good. How did the bikes perform and did the seat padding work? What mpg did you achieve?

Hi all,

We achieved around the 50/55 mpg which was a lot less than when we went around Ireland last year (around 65mpg), but still good. I think we can put this down to the fact that getting to and from the pyrenees it was quite spirited riding (for a KLE anyway) on the motorways, sitting at around 85 mph most of the time going (90 - 95 coming back!), where as in Ireland we seemed to be trundling along at 60 mph!!

As for the seat, to be honest for £3.99 I can't really complain! It did keep going down, but would keep the air in for about 50 miles and was pretty comfy when it was blown up, as I only do one big ride a year didn't really want to invest in an airhawk for one ride, all I can say it did the job!
