KLR650 manual
 

Is there a manual for the KLR650 out there, other than the Clymer manual?

I find the Clymer manual poor in some respects.. the index is not exactly exhaustive, for example. It also doesn't mention that it covers the KLR650A, but makes no mention of the differences on the KLR650C (I guess the photo of a KLR650A on the front should have given me a good hint though!).

I have the original Kawasaki KLR manuals:
There is a full on manual for the Tengai / A and an add on for the "C" dealing with the different components.
You can get it from Kawasaki dealers. Let me know if you need the part numbers.

The Service Manual KL650 (Tengai) has the part number 99924-1113-03
and the Supplement for the KLR650C has the part numbner 99924-1186-51

Note that you will have to get both manuals as the supplement only deals with issues that are different to the ancestor model KLR 650 Tengai.

That would be fantastic. I still haven't found a good source of part numbers for anything KLR650C related, including the manual.

For spare part numbers in general you will need the part catalogues from Kawasaki. They come as microfiches and unless you can source one of the nowadays mostly derelict and covered in layers of dust microfice readers (like me) you will have to go to the next public library or car / bike dealer to have a look for the part numbers you need.
The original microfiches are rather inexpensive at some 15€ if I remember correctly and I once also got good quality copies for about a third of that.

Once you have a part catalogue you can order your stuff from places like DoubleRtrading in the Netherlands.
