KLR650 in the UK

I have a on/off road trip around Spain coming up and I really would like to do it on a new KLR650. I believe Kawasaki don't sell these in the UK anymore so does anyone know the most practical place to get one for import into the UK? Is the process a big deal?

thanks

Klr 650

Occasionally decent second hand ones come up for sale:

kawasaki klr 650 lanarkshire Glasgow motorbikes scooters for sale

It's not mine, i just came across it on my daily scan for more bikes to fill the garage with.

It's been on earlier in the week, and then readvertised yesterday.

Don't bother, just buy a new Yamaha Tenere - better in every respect, and a whole century apart...

:nono:Before purchasing anything from Yamaha in the UK, phone or email Kate at Yamaha UK to enquire if they will honour the Yamaha Warranty should anything be required, and this also applies to anyone with a Yamaha that is alleged to be still under warranty. cust.service@yamaha-motor.co.uk or 01932 358000 :thumbup1:

Need it already on a YBR 125 I got for work, the frame is covered in rust along with the exhaust, the bike has only done 861 miles the previous owner (that I know) used more Autoglym than petrol and I purchased it from him with 465 miles on it. This bike has NEVER been used in the rain yet, but when it does I dread to think what it will look like. PM me your email address and I will forward the pictures Yamaha requested 11 days ago and have yet to respond to.
I can afford to not ride this bike and will therefore keep it garaged, and will probably take it in the van for a visit to Trading standards to see what they make of it.
Just goes to show, Don't buy anything made in China even with the Yamaha name on it.
My Brazilian made Honda CRF230 is 3.5years old never seen polish, only muddy water and jetwashes, never dried off with cloth etc, and guess what? NO RUST !

I think that is probably it in a nutshell... x

Sorry to hear you've had trouble with the YBarrgh125, although I saw a brand new one in a dealer the other day, and they are shockingly put together - it was like looking through a portal back to the 70's/80's... (of course the bike hasn't actually changed since then has it?!)

The Tenere is built in Italy - make of that what you will, but mine has been excellent so far...

And Jen, thats why I am determined for a result, coupled with 'Kate' at Yamaha talking on the phone to me sounding like a 'prosecution solictor', when I offered to deliver the bike to thier Weybridge HQ I was told it is only offices, so people behind desks now can tell you the rights and wrongs of motorcycles?
