Klr Electrical issue

I've recently returned to chile to pick up my bike and finish my trip south. After sitting for six months the battery was shot so I replaced the battery last week. The posts were opposite but the cables were long enough and the bike started and ran fine. About five rides later, I rode the bike to the supermarket and when returning it had no power. We push started the bike and ride it home but now when you turn the key there is nothing, not even dim lights. But when push started everything even electrical works fine. Any suggestions?

Measure the battery voltage

Before you try to start the bike (if less than 12.4 volts - recharge it)

Once the bike is started - at various rpms...

Go for a ride .. say 10 minutes at least .. then before stopping the motor measure it again at various rpms ... should be over 13 voltage at least.

Stop the motor and leave it sit for say an hour or two .. measure the voltage .. 12.5 volts ..

Only guessing otherwise. Could be a faulty battery - even brand new can still have faults - that is why you get a guarantee.

Try the main fuse, klrs had a habit of blowing them ,leaving you with no dash lights, electric start etc,the bike will start on the bump.
