klr 650c gears crunching.....HELP

Hi

My 02 klr 650c has 9,000 miles on her, when changing from 1st to 2nd the gears crunch also 4th to 5th and when dropping down the box especially 2nd to 1st.

I have adjusted the clutch from the handle bars and at the two bolts above the clutch housing, STILL CRUNCHING..........

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what it might be

oil level

oil levels are perfect, castrol gtx 10w40 without friction inhibiter's.

i'm just wondering has it anything to do with the clutch not disengaging properly?

Or is it just the previous owner wrecked the gear box? the thing is i dont want to put money into something that did not need replacing...

thanks for the speedy reply...

In my opinion it is likely to be the clutch dragging. Are you sure the adjustment squence has been done properly. It made a world of difference on my BMW.
