KLR 650 Gearing

What can be done to reduce RPM at road speeds of 70 - 75 mph while not compromising off-road use?

Thanks...any help appreciated.

Sprocket

Get a front sprocket with more teeth and use it on-road; swap back when you go off-road.

How much of an RPM reduction will I get with 1 tooth at say 70 mph?

Gear calcs

This is the best site I have come across for gear/speed calcs

Good luck

I believe that I've read that going 1 tooth different on the front sproket of a KLR650 will change the rpm by about 500. Have a look on KLR650.net.
