KLE500 Heated grips

Has anyone bought any heated grips for the Kawasaki KLE500 and if so which ones and how did they fit them?

I fitted the Daytona hot grips, however I have not connected them yet as I don't want to connect them directly to the battery.

So if someone else fitted hot grips I would be very grateful for a good connection point.

Cheers,

Frank

Mutha...

I have fitted Oxfords to my '06 model - piece of piss really.

The Bike has a switched auxiliary power circuit at the fusebox under the seat, which can be connected to using a female blade terminal. The connectors can be cable tied to the front guage support bracket and the control module mounted within easy reach right behind the screen.

Mine have been there for 23000km and been in all sorts of weather, and are still performing flawlessly. Best $AU129 spent so far in terms of comfort

As an aside, there is also room behind the instruments and behind the front fairing to comfortably mount the ultraslim ballasts for a hid lamp conversion.

If anyone is interested, I can post photos...

Cheers
Ian

Same here, new type oxford ones with no problems.

Connects to the battery and they shut off when the battery drops to a certain voltage to stop you getting a flat.

Just make sure you get the grip on fast after putting the glue on! and you only need a little bit.
