KLE wont rev flat out smoothly when riding
hi
i have totally rebuilt my kle apart from the engine, which is a recon engine. It ticks over lovely and revs when stationary cleanly, but when riding it and you give it a handful it stutters and stammers (no back firing though) then runs smooth and then stutters and stammers, i have cleaned all of the carbs out, and it has not been rejetted any ideas of what to try next? could it be something earthing out? dodgey plugs? any help gratefully recieved ![]() scotty |

Try checking the tank cap. This is sometimes indicative of a blocked breather on the tank. The fuel level drops until it creates a vacuum in the tank which slows fuel delivery. Try running with the tank cap open or even opening it when it starts to happen. If this is the cause the improvement should be almost instantaneous. Don't do it with a full tank or it could spill.
