k&n filter for Kle

Hi folks,

Im George and Im a new member.Greetings to all bike lovers in this forum from the island of Cyprus.I must point out that this is a great forum and acctually i have choose kle 500 by reading your comments/posts ,and im Taking the opportunity to ask my first question.

Does anybody now the k&n filter part number? For the filter box.

I have been trying to find this info and i have read various threds but no luck.I have also been trying to find in Kn web page but they provide only
oil filters for kle.I assume that they have this filter for another kawasaki identical filter box.

I dont believe in additional power by filters etc but im forced to install this as carbs have been modified with jets(dyno) etc and need of more air is needed for balansing. At present kn external filters are installed, one for each carb.Im afraid that use in dusty roads will effect the fuctionality of this filters.

Thanks in advance.

Hi George,

Welcome to the HUBB!

I've fitted a K&N air filter to my KLE. You are right there is no specific filter for the KLE advertised, but there is another Kawasaki which has the same air box. I think it was a 750 but forgot the model.

I will check when I'm at home and post the part number.

Edit:
I posted this earlier on the HUBB:
K&N product code KA-7587

Including shipping UK
£32.49

Cheers,

Frank

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
