KLE Carburetors help!!!!!

Hi guys,

Together with a friend I make my KLE pieces , I've changed all 3 chains inside the engine, new piston rings, chain tensioner, some bearings, all gaskets .... is now like brand new, entire frame repainted, assembled all together but now i'm in a big problem :helpsmilie:

I've changed the vulves from carburetor vacuum and other sealing gaskets from carburetor .

My big problem is that when I fill the carburetor with gas it starts to leak from those 2 holes on the air filter side, that means that I will have a full air filter with gas and also that the gas will be in oil recuperator in air box so it will drain mixing with oil inside the engine.

I've changed all parts, on floating compartment, measured the level but is acting like it cant close the fuel suply line, but on checking it look like closing suply line it works.

I'm out of ideas, everyone I called ... never heard about this problem ..... if you have any ideas it will be fine .... after months of work I look at my bike and going "wtf mate!?!?" .

Thank you for any ideas that can help me solve the problem.

Sounds like the float valve is stuck open, and it's overflowing as a result? Can you post a pic of where the fuel is leaking out? Is the fuel tap of the vacuum type? Does the leak occur all the time, or when the bike is running?

Problem solved, another arised

Finally after making carburetors only pieces it seems that some o-rings were damaged and the float valve is working but should be replaced also some other things should be replaced but for the moment problem is solved.

Now that my bike works oil pressure light and temperature light remain on when I accelerate they turn off but if I let it to run smoothly ... they turn on again .... another time for inspecting contacts and I don't know what because it not leaks fluids so I don't know why they remain on. Maybe after some hours of engine runing the new parts will get along with old parts. If not, I will have to go at a service because I'm out of ideas.

Hi,

i had the similar problem as u a couple of time back...petrol overflow out from the air box nearby the carburetor and the whole bike was jammed and unable to start back. The things my mechanic did was change the carburetor "needdle" which "carry" the float and its happen a few time. Then the last time it happened again and that was at when i doing my touring Thailand. The bike shop change for me the needle also but this time the needle was from Honda as there were no parts for it at that time and afterall so far so good...:cool4:
