KLE 500 Wheel/tyre

I have only owned this bike for the past 2 months and to be honest i do like it better than i thought i would of(1995).However the rear tyre is close to the limit but have been given a like new bridgestone one.I was wondering is it save to changer it from a tubed to one without one?? Also ive seen many on the web people who have done a front wheel conversion for a smaller wheel. Is this an easy thing to do and whats the best way to go about it.Like to get this done now b4 the winter months come as im building a workshop in the garden to do a complete strip and rebuild as the frame is looking worse for ware but solid

Spook,
I hope you know by going to a smaller diameter front wheel, your speedo may no longer be accurate? Front guard may look a little odd with a smaller wheel/tyre combo sitting under it. Also if you intend taking it off-road,you may be jeapodising some much needed ground clearance.

How did you get round the speedo issue mate.

As for the rear tyre im not sure you can get a tubeless tyre on a spoked wheel so you'll need to put the tube in.

I really like the paint job - 1 colour and no stickers.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
