KLE 500 Throttle Cable
On my way home from a breakfast run this morning, one of my throttle cables snapped off on the throttle grip side just at the crimped lead lug.
![]() I'll get a new one in the morning, but cannot work out how the cables are threaded to the throttle grip. There are two cables, and I don't understand how it works, cause when the cable snapped I had no throttle. If the one cable was for the one carburettor, and the other cable for the other carburettor I would still have had throttle on one carburettor, but I had nothing. ![]() The workshop manual has no photos, or explanations, and I don't want to get stuck tomorrow night as I need to get it back on the road ASAP as I use it to commute. |

The kle uses a push/pull type cable setup basically one cable (your snapped one) opens both carbs and the other cable will pull them closed if you shut off the throttle quickly so that your not reliant on the force of the throttle return spring to close the carbs

Thanks for your assistance ShaunJ. I thought it may be something like that but was not sure.
