Kle 500 Rear Tyre

Hi Guys

Excelent forum.Maybe someone can help as i would like to know if a 140/80/17 tyre would fit on the KLE 500?

i would say it would depend on the tyre a 100% road tyre probably would no problem a knobbly may or may not.

now the obvious question why do you want to mount a 140/80 tyre?

Thanks for reply.I need to replace and i had a look at the 130/80 Heidenau k60 50/50 tyre.Also at the 140/80 and it's pattern was different from that of the 130/80.The tyre that was at the shop came off a hp2 with 13500km and it looked better than my sirac after 7000 km's .Also not much prize difference between the two.The knobblies on the 140/80 larger (more rubber on road.)

Keep in mind that the 140 tyre will bulge more on the rim so may be unstable at large lean angles

The chart on this link shows a 140 tyre isn't recommended for a 2.5" rim
