KLE 400 after market parts? where in the U.S.?

I'm thinking in change my klr650 for a kle400. I live in chile and here the kawasaki aftermarket parts are dificult to find... almost always I had to import from USA, but I can't find parts for KLE400 (1990), just brake pads.

do you know some place to find it?

thanks:blushing:

If you have KLE400 you should know that is a Japan model so only there you can find parts.

If you have KLE500 is European model so you can find in Europe.

I own a KLE400 and I had to buy parts from Japan. If you are interested I can give you my dealer from Japan (2 years I searched over the internet to find a Japanese dealer who can actually export parts).

ok, here are a few KLE400, they was imported used directly from japan in the 90's when the law permited import used vehicles.

can you share with me your information? are OEM parts or aftermarket?

now I have a klr650, but Im considering to find a KLE400 and change it.

thanks!

So it was here, after 1990 were imported from japan as used motorcycles because were cheap to buy from Japan.

Parts are OEM, all with kawasaki logo, and part numbers as in Kawasaki parts list, all brand new because they are kawa dealers.

So:

Parts catalog on kawa japan is here:
ƒp[ƒcƒJƒ^ƒƒOŒŸõ

on the first drop-down box you select motorcycle type; on the second row you have 2 drop-down boxes where you put manufacture years - e.g. for 1993 you put 1993 in first and 1993 in second - anyway part numbers are same for almost all years except for plastics. - then you click on the button next to drop-downs.

After that on lower part of screen appears a description with 2 buttons you should click the button with code. Than you should select from the next page - you have a drop down with [1] [2] and so on and with a description in japanese .... just browse through them until you find what part you are looking for - click on the code appears next to part and you should see a description with a code from more than 5 numbers -. that is the code for that part.

Hope you can get it :smartass:

And about the dealer: their site is: –¼¼ƒJƒƒTƒLƒgƒbƒvƒy[ƒW

But beware their english is worse than mine :innocent: - if you don't get an answer try again to send the mail and put in mail subject Kawasaki kle400 - because their spam filter treats english mails like spam - it happened to me. And don't be scared if they reply you with something like "your motorcycle feels sorry for you" - but they get part numbers.

I bought from them parts worth more than 600 Euro and more than 20 items. None was missing from the package. And as they are Japanese ... are very polite.

Hope that helps! If you have any question regarding kawa parts site please let me know - I know their site with my eyes closed after hours of searches.

Good luck

My friend, I am trying to look for parts on the described web page, and my japanese is not that good I would like. Is there any other way to look for parts. By the way, where do you get the parts numbers, such as pistons or rings.

Thanks
