Ke100

My son just sold his KE100, 12k from new 1989 on the year.
The buyer caned it on the test ride, caned it away from the house after buying it. He rang up an hour later and said it died and has no compression. I'm guessing it hs been run flat out all the way home!1 30 miles and has holed the piston. Why!!! I would have guessed a heat seizure but no, no compression. Is it a case of engine strip and new piston and rings, or do you think the bits will have been blown through the exhaust. Just a case of new piston and rings or perhaps a rebore?!!

It's fifteen minutes work to pull the head and barrel, and then you will know what's needed. Otherwise, it's guessing.
