Thumbs up about the KLE 500 manual; I need one too...

some days ago I found the HUBB by chance-while searching in the net for bikes and such, and then here I am. Especially when I saw a thread on KLE500 manual, I couln't imagine my eyes, becouse I was rummaging every corner in the net and didn't suceed to get one. Thanks to Luuk that he is the first so far I saw , who offers one, and I would be veery thankful if he -or any other KLE 500'ers could post me this precious booklet. I am newly a newbie on a bike (it is a KLE 500, an old one- '92 make but does very well ); and nothing seems to be alike automobiles. well, to cut it short for now, I need a manual bad! thanks anyway.

is this some kind of a manual or what? have a look..

I just found some kind of a technical manual at this site below. just had a glance at it and there was parts drawings and numbers etc. look like from a parts catalog. maybe one of you could make use of it-so do I supposedly. if any problem getting that site, i can post it to anyone who asks for. greetings.

Service manual

Hi All,
I have a 2000 model, 3500 km, KLE 500, however I have not got users' or service manual at all. Actually it is OK for me to change the oil and oil filter, but have no idea about air filter and spark plugs etc. I will be very glad if you could send me the manual that you mentioned in the forum.
Cheers.

engine vibrations

Hi All,

It looks like I've stumbled on a great KLE club here. I just bought a 2000 model KLE 400 about three months ago and found it to be ideal for the roads here in Cambodia. Everything seems rock solid except the front brakes. Can someone recommend good disk pads to use? I will need to import them, so I want to know they will be worth the trouble.

Also, I get a really annoying engine vibration right on 3,000 rpm. It smoothes out with more rpm and is happiest around 5,000 rpm. I'm guessing the carburettors need balancing. Anyone have other suggestions or experience with this? I'm used to riding 4 cylinders, is this normal for twins?

If I may... can someone also send me the manual? My address is stannard@netspace.net.au Many thanks.

Peter.S

Thanks...

Yeah, Thanks Luuk for sending me that manual so quickly and thanks too for putting the theme song for Star Treck in my head... It's stuck in there now.

Any suggestions regarding the engine vibrations at 3,000rpm?

Cheers,

Peter.S

Hi Pete, I am not sure about the differences of the KLE 500 that i 've got with the 400 you have, but indeed I noticed a lot of vibrations when i first bought mine as well. I also had a suzuki bandit 400 (4-cylinder) before, so i think its just a matter if getting used to it. I dont pay any attention to it anymore. Also the vibrations on mine appear in slighlty less rpm. Other than that, if you find any good brakes solution please let us know! komm

parts catalogue

Regarding my previous request about a parts list it seems I didnt pay enough attention to the previous posts! Indeed endurin has posted a download site (
http://www.psytronix.org/xo/modules/...cid=34&lid=166 ) which has what seems to be the KLE-500 '98 german edition parts catalague. I have seen exactly the same pages been used by my mechanic for spare parts. No i can start trying to do some service on my own. Cheers!
