How do you guys put your luggage on the KLE500?

the high exhaust means panniers are out?

wat i did the last time was to put my regular backpack on the pillon seat and used a elastic spiderweb cord to secure it...pretty primitive but it works...
any better suggestions?

Luggage

Hi Joe,

I owned a 400ccm KLE a couple of years ago (changed to the Honda TransAlp last year). Soft (cloth) sidebags were no problem and now I use a frame/rack and hardcases made by Hepco & Becker, even though the TA also has a high exhaust pipe (same as KLE)!! No problem at all. You can find pics of both bikes (especially my old KLE) on my homepage for further information. If there is anyhing I can help you with, just get with me again. PS: I ordered my stuff for the TA from Germany, even with shipment it came much cheaper than having it bought over here in Japan!

Take care and safe riding!!
Virtulanguage.com and then just look for the KLE and TA pages!!

Luggage

Hello There.

Have a look at the KLE pics thread, as well as the tips and tricks thread. Quite a few ideas there. The ammo boxes and a backpack worked great for me.

Regards

luggage

I have my luggage resting on my exhaust pipe, it actually has an aluminium plate and plastic plate and well insulated the heat. But don't let the bag touch the black pipe.... or it'll melt.
