Handguards
I am looking to put different handguards on my new KLR. Can anyone tell me if the product numbers for the items below are correct for fitting to a KLR?
I found the Maier Mfg. website ( http://db.maier-mfg.com/products.cfm...ory=Handguards ). But am not sure about what fits the KLR. Thanks. DELUXE WOODS PRO ALUMINUM HANDGUARDS Product # 59525…A FULL COVERAGE PLASTIC HANDGUARDS FOR DELUXE WOODS PRO MODEL Product # 595160

A lot of people use the Acerbis guards and like them. I tried them but didn't think they gave enough clearence for the controls. A friend chrashed his (not bad) and the guard bent just enough to jam the brake lever. I took mine off and replaced the Acerbis with the stock guards. I leave the controls a little loose so they move in a crash and that seems to keep the levers intact. The Acerbis guards do look cool though.
