Engine Rebuild

I have a KLR with 30k miles on it. It drinks oil like a Scottish footiball fan, so I want to get the engine rebuilt before my next trip.

Anyone know what I'd be likely to pay for this in London?

Also, if anyone knows a godd London based mechanic, could they let me know?

Thanks

What kind of oil do you use?
Use 20w50 and that may help reduce the amount of oil being burned.

Using 20 W 50 mineral oil. And have done for the last 20,000 miles. Admittedly some of its been very dodgy, but confident the engine needs a rebuild.

Try Dalston Motorcycles - they have been great, honest and he rides big dirt bikes. Mention Nick with the DR350, it won't get you a discount but I have spent a fair bit of time talking dirt bikes there
