Engine Rebuild
I have a KLR with 30k miles on it. It drinks oil like a Scottish footiball fan, so I want to get the engine rebuilt before my next trip.
Anyone know what I'd be likely to pay for this in London? Also, if anyone knows a godd London based mechanic, could they let me know? Thanks

What kind of oil do you use?
Use 20w50 and that may help reduce the amount of oil being burned. [This message has been edited by Glenn_M (edited 03 September 2002).]

Using 20 W 50 mineral oil. And have done for the last 20,000 miles. Admittedly some of its been very dodgy, but confident the engine needs a rebuild.

Try Dalston Motorcycles - they have been great, honest and he rides big dirt bikes. Mention Nick with the DR350, it won't get you a discount but I have spent a fair bit of time talking dirt bikes there
