Current Price for KLE

Hi there,

I am considering to buy a KLE. What would be the current price for it? Is the KLE still available as new?
How much did you pay for yours?

I live in the UK.

Thanks,

Frank

A few months ago I was looking at the new prices for this bike and that website was pretty competitive (I see at present you have to ring them): at that time, the cheapest price for a new bike that I saw advertised was around £2800 which was an excellent price IMO.
You can see some very good second hand machines come along - pretty new with low mileage. One reason can be that the owner has had the bike restricted to 33 HP for the bike licence test - this is easily reversed I understand.

So, take a look on ebay and autotrader and the MCN classified ads?

Thanks for your replies.

The cheapest new bike I could find was for 3K. A bit too expensive, maybe I can find something cheaper.

I would be grateful if you let me know when you see something.

@Walkabout:
Do you remember the place where they sold it for 2,800?

Thanks,

Frank

Sorry, not in detail; I think it was on autotrader and the bikes were somewhere in the "M4 corridor" - Basingstoke or somewhere like that. But, these offers come and go anyway, especially as bikes get near their "end game" and are being replaced by newer models, like the KLE650 Versys in this case.

Cheers,

I just viewed one today from a motorcycle shop (sells only used bikes).

It was a 2005 model with only 800 miles for £2,500.00

Tomorrow I view another 2005 model, but with 6500 miles on the clock. However it has a lot of extras fitted: scottoiler, alarm device, hot grips, crash pads, another pair of "good" tyres.
He wants £2,200.00.

How would you decide?

I will keep looking. Maybe it is even worth to buy it from another European country?

Keep an eye on ebay, There have been some new ones on there within the past few weeks.

The Motorcycle centre at Orrell, Nr Wigan have some in.

Motorcycle Dealer - MCO - Motorcycle Centre Orrell Ltd - Aprilia - Benelli - Ducati - Honda - Kawasaki - Suzuki - Yamaha - Kawasaki Z1000

Hope this helps

Thanks folks for your replies.

I found a few dealers now which offer new KLEs for £2,999.00

Do you think this is a reasonable price?

I don't need to finance it, could pay cash. Is it common in the UK that I can negotiate a discount?

Cheers,

Frank

If you are lucky (and quick) you can pick up good second hand ones, I bought a 1 year old minter, with a £100 service just done for £2300. That included a givi rack and top box.
The previous owner is a serving police officer, and had done 139 miles on it, before realising her legs were too short.
Nice legs they were too :thumbup1:

I bought one yesterday. :thumbup1:

It is a silver 2005 model with just 270miles on the clock. Got it for 2,200.00 from a dealer incl. 3 month warranty.
