Alternate Rear Shocks in South America

Hello,

Just thought I would drop this forum a note. I blew out my rear shock on a 2006 KLR 650 in Peru and I wanted to know what other shocks may be able to be installed other than one designed for KLR 650's. There are very few 650 or bigger bikes down here. Any help on how to best nurse the shock until I get to Quito where there will be a new replacement will be very helpful.

Thanks for any advice. Talk with you soon.
