2up on a 650 08 KLR

Hi , just wondering if many have had experiance with 2 up on this bike, we will be touring lower Argentina rua 40 Mendoza - Terra del fuego. How did your bike stand up, I figure we will be around 350lbs all up. Did you upgrade the shocks ? any information would be helpful as I am planing it this Jan , cheers

Klr650

I had a KLR for years and did about 80000 on it , the bike is great but 2 up loaded will be very rough , the lake of power will make it pretty difficult , but if you decide to do it you will need to upgrade the supension front and back , the brake system and try to stay with soft luggage to keep it light. A DL650 will be much better, I met with a rider and his daughter (2up) in SA and they were on KLR650 ,its possible to do it but not the best choice for the trip ( to my opinion)
