Catching the ferry on 18th June and will be there for about 9 weeks. Not on a bike though - our preferred method of transport is a Hobby motorhome.

This was our first night stop last time

For those who baulk at metre-deep river crossings, the F35 is a pretty good introduction to the centre of Iceland. Hot springs half way plus side trips to the two glaciers and lakes and waterfalls plus you go past Geisur (Spelling). Gravel road all the way.

Those are lovely shots you have there Tony, and I am a little jealous that you have got some a nice camper.....I am going to Iceland in July, but I will be camping.

I may struggle towing a caravan on my little motorbike.

Served my apprenticeship as far as owning motorbikes goes and now prefer some fancier creature comforts.

I'm in iceland
Hi all, I'm going to be in iceland from about August the 20th to September the 7th. I'm doing it as cheap as possible and camping most of the time. I plan to ride both the main interior crossing routes but I'm flexible when and where else I go. I'm looking for people who may want to ride with me. I'm on my trusty drz 400.

Let me know if your keen

Tam

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
