Understand

Hi Xander

Fully understand, especially as you are a 3 hours plus run on a good day to the Ace.

We'll meet up soon enough and a good place may be at the roving bike meets around Worcs and Glos that happen on most Wednesday nights over the Summer.

Well organised and over a 1000 bikers at some of them. Have a look at: Bikers Nite plus it's all in aid of the County Air Ambulance.

Cheers

Chris

I (as one other member posted ) am not one for too many meetups but rather enjoy rideouts with a bit of green lane adventure added into the mix !

If anyone is interested I have a great 9 page route ( thru the south east of Derbyshire ) loaded on the roadbook ......... I have only done about 4 pages so far due to one 'bad lane' .......

I will be going back soon to complete the route ...........

I did the HUMM and then took in Europe and Morocco last summer

I am Jon and I am on a KTM 640 Adv
I'm very interested in some greenlaning - I have quite a few routes mostly around the midlands at the moment I have an Aprilia Pegaso 650 but set-up for some serious off roading so would be a good match to a KTM 640... let me know. I'm in coventry (Ian)

Anything doin ?

Anything happening with regards to rides and meets in the Midlands ?

Last time I was here I was on a 640 ADV but now on an AT .....

Maybe a bi weekly meet on a week night / afternoon would be a good idea in the Midlands .... Away from the Sports Bike speed Freaks ....

Or a Sat morning meet/ride at a diff location every other week ?

I'll start it off ...

Cannock Chase Visitors Centre 10am Sat 31st OCT Rain or Shine ! ( Or Snow ! )

Jon

So dedided to do my billy no mates ride out, went across to Ashbourne then to Monyash where i had lunch, then went down into Bakewell Matlock Bath and then back home. 140 miles of beautiful autumn colour and scenery.

Sorry i missed you maybe there will be another time, but thanks anyway i doubt i would have bothered on such a drizzly morning if it had not been arranged.

Thanks Rob

meeting place suggestion

The cafe at Quatt (Just outside Bridgenorth on the Bridgenorth-Kidderminster road A422 I think... )
Full of bikes at weekends, great place for a cuppa and an oggle at the bikes till everyone arrives before setting off into borders

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
