We're not worthy

In an atempt to be the most sad I'd like to be the first to say " The HUUK 2003 meet was fantastic." Met some really good people who we'll stay in touch with, met Mr. (we're not worthy) Ted Simon and of course Sir Grant J.

Thanks to all those who organised the event - it really is apreciated and also to the guys who organised the ride outs (easy my ass!). This time next year we'll be 6 months into our 5 year RTW trip, largely thanks to this site. THANKS

Good to see a few more people who don't have to shave every morning too (ladies).

Cheers

Chris & Liz

Yep - it was a great weekend. Just one point though - how come you got to meet Ted Simon? I thought he couldn't make it Sat. eve. because of an accident on the way up.(thankfully he's OK)

High point of the weekend - the look on my wifes face when I gave her the vibrator (with free battery included)purchased from the vending machine in the gents loo. Low point - realising half way home, that the sticky thing in my boot was the biggest bastard slug (now deceased and squashed) you've ever seen. It must have crawled in during the night - lesson learnt there I think - always check your boots before putting them on....

hi
ted simon arrived by car at about 11am on sunday with friends (who helped him on saturday afternoon/evening after his incident with the car). he seemed in good spirits, if a little bruised after his slide down the road. i'm sure he will announce what happened on on his website.

cheers
chris
ps. glad you liked the event

pps. you should be happy it was only a slug in your boot and not a frog http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/wink.gif

Thanks for a great event! Really really enjoyed ourselves. My girlfriend Zoe would like to apologies to Chris Scott for falling asleep during his presentation but the early start to the day and the days green laning or 'brown laning' as she liked to call it (she was crapping herself!) had really taken it out of her.
Met some great people and will definitely be keeping in touch with our new friends.
