2011 AUTUMN HU Meet - Get your motos to the Mendips for a cider filled camp up in Sep

Hello hello hello!
For all of you that don't know we are hosting the first official UK HU Autumn meet on 2nd, 3rd and 4th September. Some of you may remember the spit and sawdust affair we organised in 2008, well this time we have buildings for presentations, and proper toilets! Excellent! The location has changed, and is at a beautifully rustic farm fernhill-farm.co.uk
BUT CAPACITY is LIMITED to only 250 people, so don't miss the registration! The registration page is live http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/meetings/UK2011-autumn.php, where you'll find all the preliminary information.
All you need to know at this stage is that proper Somerset cider will be on offer to keep you thoroughly refreshed through a weekend of presentations and evening bonfires.
Any queries give us a shout on this thread.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Ta ta for now
Gabe and Char

Oh yes

This one is almost certainly happening this year, and thanks to everyone that came last year and gave such positive feedback.

We've just got to finalise the venue, and then Grant & Susan will release the full details and booking info.

It looks like it will be the same time of year, and most aspects of the event will remain similar to last year.

We'll update this thread when we have confirmation of the details.

Great to hear people enjoyed it

The word around the campfire... Mendip is the new Ripley!
See you there, looking forward to it.

Any volunteer help greatly appreciated, we had some people last year that truly went above and beyond the call of duty and it made a huge difference to the whole event. Many thanks indeed

Not much a cider man, a bit sweet for me, but I'm sure there will be some ale available.

Gabe, I'm happy to lend a hand during the event.

Hi Gabe

Great to know that there is an Autumn meet in the pipeline. I hope the dates work and we can get accross this year again.

There is still time for you and Char to get across to the HU Ireland meeting in Enniskillen on 29 June-1 July(if you are not off on your travels!)

Hi Gabe
Last year's was a superb meet. If the date is definitely set at 31Aug/02Sep, afraid I won't be able to make it. Any date after that is free in the diary.

cheers

Great to hear!

Chris, Sorry but dates are almost certainly to be that first weekend in September, sorry if you'll not be able to make it.

Liam, we'd love to but crazy busy at the moment. Char's Hen do this weekend, and I'm at home tending to the business and the dog! Next year sounds good though if you're up for hosting another :-)

Really looking forward to the event this year, was a great crowd last time and the help we received from people was astounding. Thanks to everyone

Hi, I went last year, what a great weekend!
It got me inspired and so turned my wheels further afield than usual this year.
I've already cleared my diary for this year and await registration.
See you folks there.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
