Long Way Down!

Hi Jonathon

Long way to come just for the day. If you need a place to stay for Sunday night, you are welcome at ours, just south of Banbury.

A few of us will be leaving from Ma Larkins at the junction of the A361 and the A44 at Chipping Norton on Sunday at about 10.30 am.

Enjoyed your website and the GS looks ACE!

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris, I can't take Damien's BMW to London as it's SORNed but I'd like to have a chat to you. I'll be wearing a Moto Guzzi liveried jacket so should be pretty obvious. I am desperate to ride but must use the good old bus. Grrr. Lindsay.

Easy to spot: I have HUBB stickers on the panniers like any self-respecting biker;-)

Fergus -- it will be good to swap notes on riding the Bonneville.

Update: "Easy to spot: I have HUBB stickers on the panniers but my panniers will be in, err, Norwich. Along with the bike. Snowed out before leaving for London. So I'm not much of a self-respecting biker after all!

weather update

any news on the condition of the roads today coming from Peterborough down to the Ace Cafe?
Around Huntingdon the back roads are pretty slippy.
Whats the A1 and the roads round London like?
Obviously we've got a couple of days to go, but in Huntingdon we're forecast more snow tonight, and while the Scorps are good, they're not that good!

Meet at the Ace

Hi Linzi

Hoping to get there on the bikes, but if not will take the 4x4, with a few of the lads on board.

You can mail me any pics and details and I can put the BM up on Biketrader straight away.

Cheers

Hi Chris, I've taken 24 photos of the bike. Should have them developed on Friday. Still using film! Lindsay.

Should be there on 4 wheels rather than 2 with at least one of the kids in tow.

Tim - would love to catch up with you to chat Morocco routes.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
