Thumbs up March 12th Herts. Presentation on Oz to UK ride

Hi all

You are all welcome to come to an evening hosted by the Herts TRF (non members welcome - Free entry) to enjoy (?) a presentation by yours truly on a ride that we did from Wollongong to Woolwich.

"In February 2011 my wife Kate and I set off on our motorbikes from the town of Wollongong in Australia heading for Woolwich in south east London. Over 5 months we covered about 15,000 miles through 20 countries. We crossed the emptiness of the great Aussie outback and negotiated manic traffic in Bangkok, Delhi and Lahore. We rode the fabled and dangerous Karakoram Highway through the mountains of Pakistan, crossed the 4600 metre Khunjerab pass into China and in Russia, had a BBQ with some Hells Angels.
It wasn’t an easy trip to do but we wanted to show that it can be done, by us, by you, by anyone. Be warned though, reading it may inspire you and before you know it you’ll be on an adventure of your own……"

Hope to see you there!

Cheers

Hi,

I hit the "Maybe" button on FB, because I am not sure whether I will be able to make it from London on a Wednesday evening.

Thanks for organising the talk.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
