humm mountain madness help!
Can anyone tell me the kind of mileages covered in this event-am still trying to decide which bike to take-Ideally I'd like to use a 1977 montesa cota which has a tank capacity of about one and a half gallons and so I reckon I can get maybe 60-70 miles from a tank plus whatever I can carry.many thanks

it's a navigation scatter rally type event so it's up to you how many miles you do. Honest opinion i would not use a trials bike in this type of event mainly because all trials bikes have issue's with not able to carry enough fuel you can't ride any distance on them (no seat) and they are just to single minded.
use a trail bike like everybody else.

Hi Noel, we done approx 190 miles each day in the 2008 event so expect somewhere similar if you want to compete. If you have a choice of bike what else do you have?
