Oh the woes of bike ownership. Mike was putting in a new ignition on Tuesday night I was away for the day. Our pal got a frantic phone call "Sheena can you take me to the hospital" The grinder slipped and caught his finger, he says it didnt hurt.
Well he has steri strip things on and a fairly sizeable bandage, and if he wears the biggest pair of gloves we have then he can manage the bike while keeping his injured digit straight.
Mike will be there Friday night, with 2 women in tow, they will be in one of the wigwam thingys. Then a bit later on if it stays dry hubby of one of the women might arrive if he gets finished work early.
As usual I will be there Saturday after work going to go in early to get finished early - the things we do for a bike meet -
With any luck I will arrive just after the kettle has boiled after your ride out.

Thanks very much for an excellent weekend!

I came up with a temporary repair for the swing arm spindle by removing the grease nipple and replacing it with a hex head bolt from elsewhere with a washer and a nut that stopped it escaping onto the tarmac :-) Thanks for everyone that helped!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
