We might be able to pop on too. Still need to book a ferry back to UK, but pretty sure it will be in time to join in. Fingers crossed.

Cheers

....

Hi Steve..

I`m from southampton ...westwellow area...

I know a long 2 hrs+ trail from sparsholt across to salisbury and countess services..we use it to access salisbury plain and the droves...runs by the Airfield too..typical Hamshire trails..in winter irs slippy and full of tree roots and flint..but summer its fine as long as guys have some experience and tkc minimum..okay Tourance if your a off road God...

I can lead or follow or change round etc as needed just nice to get out and about..

The shaftesbury drove is okay but thats a long days trails..I normally do a circuit and take in the stones etc..There are some trails north from Overton to Basinstoke ..but dont know them..more enduro ..

I cant camp as wifes a broken Elbow so needed at home ..but will be up sat morning 8.30am..

even if its just a couple of riders thats fine..I`m cool ether way..

thorns

Hi Steve..

Had a quick ride out this afternoon on the trials around Broughton etc..the council have been out hedge cutting which was needed,,but why dont they clean up afterwards..

loads of thorns everywhere..had 3 in front 2 in rear..so had to ride back with a flat front tyre as I only carry one tube..not a happy bunny..

so I`d avoid the trails in this area..they had been out on 4 seperate sections that all link up..

It was nice and dry though with excellent views...

I'm afraid I won't know if I'm working that weekend until a week or so before.
It was looking good for me right up to midday yesterday. Now it's all gone for a poo. Oh the joys of being self employed.

(Think of me as you're supping a cold one and chilling out; I'll be buried in celotex and tangled up in underfloor heating pipe)

Have a good one. Sorry I can't make it.

My Garmin shows it as 51º12'25.2" North 001º15'32.7" West. Test Valley Golf Course, Overton, Hampshire RG25 3DS

I'm hoping to get down early on Saturday morning, family duties call tonight, the Satnag reckons it will take me nearly 2 hours to cover the 57 miles between my bit of London and there which seems hugely pessimistic but you never know. As my cheap and cheerful road-biased Vee Rubber tires are almost down to the minimum I am never going to manage anything technical trail-wise but I wouldn't mind giving it a go if conditions are good given the lack of rain recently. If not I'll just see if anyone is hanging around, put up the tent and have a stretch out in the sun with a good book and a cup of coffee/glass of something.

BUT there's one "but" my wife's disabled and I'm her carer, she seems fine today but tomorrow that could have changed. Any chance that we can swap mobile numbers so I can text if at the last minute I have to bug out so I don't keep anyone waiting?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
