I could not get a signal on the camp site but I could get a signal in the village, then again I have a Tesco pay as you go phone which is ancient and the coverage is not the best in the world

Mike usually takes a supply of ear plugs to hand out to folk anyplace near him, except me, says its my duty to suffer his snoring - If i'm tired enough I will sleep thru most things thunder storms, chinook helicopters buzzing the camp site, "I'm Sparacus" chorus at BMF.

From my experience Altberg is well worth a visit.
They take their time measuring your feet & trying boots on to find out about fit and if you would like them.
Then I had a wait of 6 weeks before the boots arrived. I have been reading lots of good things about them being waterproof, but as yet mine are untried in the wet, I know I shouldnt complain we all like nice weather for riding. I am sure on out jaunt around the high spots in Europe over the next 2 weeks I will find out if they are indeed as waterproof as they say, and if we do get rain I will no doubt be singing their praises at Haggs Bank. But if you see me with Asda carrier bags on my feet I wont be worth speaking to

Looks like the Infield is being dusted down for the weekend as my knackered shoulder is playing up (tendonitis) brought on with the the daily cycle training the 80 odd mile down to Nenthead would have my arm worse than useless and in agony for the weekend and I would never be able to lift a . The Infield is not much quicker than the pedal bike but its easier on the uphill bits into a headwind I suppose.

New to Horizons Unlimited?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
