We took a 3 month old to Morocco a few years ago, admittedly to a hotel but he didn't stop us doing anything. I'm sure you know already that they travel quite well. It's when they're mobile it gets harder. Then they get to the "I'm bored" and "are we there yet?" stage.

If you need to use anything in the house: bath, microwave etc just ask.

Hi Rossi, count me in either in the hall or camping dont really mind which, i will probably be on the Strom so no off roading for me.
Could have a ride out somewhere if anyone fancies it or stay in the pub.

I'm with you Jim. Off-road stuff is not on the cards for me neither (for woosy reasons that I wont go into now). I intend going to the mini meet just for the social side of the event. I'm also planning to camp in the hall .. unless I can scrounge my sister's camper-van for the weekend.

In short, if you don't go for a road ride-out on your Strom, then you got guaranteed company in the pub .. which can't be all bad, eh? ..

Cheers

KEITH

Sounds like a definite maybe. My "schedule" that far ahead is about as firm as jelly. Will pencil it in.

Do attendees need to have an X-Challenge to prove their manliness? Not sure my rebuild will be complete by then. but it should be.

Knowing where you've taken your bike there's no need to prove your manliness. Some photos of your latest trip will do just as well.

Not to worry Cole, I'll give you a backie on the off-road ride out
that should prove your manliness - or at least increase your grey hair count.

It would be nice to come along to this, and as I'm working in the tamar valley at present the locations good.

Will definitely be interested in learning some trails too though I would be on a big ol KTM 990 which whilst I'm reasonably deluded in my abilities about/brave with but wouldn't fancy Pink Panther or Muchlarnack on it in February??

Haven't had a sleepover in a Cornish village hall since cub scouts, Aces!!

Cornish slang term for a depraved sexual act or maybe just meaning you can go on the back of a bike ;-)

virgin offering?

Hi Guys,
just realised i could combine my interest with the outdoor, drinking and motorcycling about 6 months ago! sold the speed triple and purchased a ktm adventure! although i used to race motorcross many years ago, about 20, i cant pretend to be an off road competent!
anyway, your meet sounds cool and i would love to come. i would bring my tent and a warm bag etc!
definately interested in some green laneing, not too technical but will go with the flow! i havent droppped her yet but willing to chance it! its gonna happen some day! ill bring some tissues! 2010 model with ony 1k on the clock! bring it on!
as there seems to be another KTM adventure bike at the meet at least i can be sure of spare parts!

very much looking forward to the meet!

Hi peeps
bit late to the show (as usual !) but assuming I have the planning for our new Scoots trip to Bansang sorted I'd love to join you all. It would be my first southern mini-meet but a few familiar names keep cropping up.

Will everybody be turning up Friday night or Saturday morning?

Regards to all
Dennis

I was thinking in terms of arriving sometime Friday night and going trail riding on Saturday. Then folk can have all day Sunday to clear their heads and mosey home. No reason why folk can't turn up on Saturday though.
Would there be any interest in getting a keg of real ale in?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
