If 4x4's are welcome, I would be very interested in meeting you guys and girls?

No problem with attending but you wouldn't get it along most of the lanes down here.

19/20 feb?

I can probably point you in the direction of a few lanes you could get 4x4s along and lend you a map as well. I don't know what you normally take them down but the 4x4 crowd round here go out equipped with high lift suspension and winches.

As far as trail rides go, let me know what you want. I will take my Xchallenge along pretty much all of the lanes round here. There are a couple though that I wouldn't get up without an mt43 trials tyre on the rear. Assuming folks are riding down that may not be an option, but I can easily sort out a route avoiding the really tricky lanes. I'll need to have a think about a route for anyone on twins but with sensible tyres I'm sure they will be fine.

Tiffany has suggested moving the date a bit later as she is doing a presentation for a trf fund-raiser in the area in January. Better for us to have our meet in February so there is absolutely no way we can be accused of poaching their fee paying customers.

How does the weekend of 19/20 Feb sound?

Mcgiggle, would you be up for short a presentation too? I was following your blog and it would be nice to hear a bit more about your trip. Anybody else?

This shouldn't be a problem, after all we are supposed to be roughie toughie bike travellers. I hope to see you all there.

Yeah no problem, well I say that but I've never done a presentation before...... other than holding court down the pub.
Not sure about projectors etc, we've got all our pix on a laptop which we can bring with us if someone has a projector and can show me how to use it, or a large monitor?

Not sure what the weather is going to be like. in February? More like . We are also pretty high here (for Cornwall anyway) and even get snowed in. I do have a supply of wood though and could sort out a firepit. I could probably manage to rustle up a big pot of chilli as well, or possibly enough rabbits to make a big stew, depending how many are going to turn up.

Still not 100% sure on the date. Trying to find a date that as many as possible can manage. Feel free to chip in with dates you can and can't make. We can try to go for whatever suits people best.

Seriously, I have had a suggestion of 5/6th Feb. Still means 2 weekends on the trot for Harleyrider but I hope he doesn't expect sympathy from the rest of us. Any issues?

Bloody hell Cole, I can't believe you're still trying to flog those pics around! It'll be good to see you down in this neck of the woods.
Rossi, can you fix the date for 5/6th Feb? Or the one after is fine for me.
Lets get those pasties rolling!!!

And Ollie, are you and Jenny bringing Dino back to Cornwall?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
