Polite but urgent warning to campers in the Blue Hills area. These two ferrel creatures have been spotted just lately, under NO circumstances sleep in close proximity to them or attempt to hand feed them ok..?? You have been warned so just take care out there.....!!!

In the interests of the HUBB community, Anna and I had gone up to St Agnes to conduct tireless research (and have a couple of glasses of wine). I can't believe the stealth paparazzi managed to sneak in as well and not only take this photo but also post it on the web!!:confused1:

Not before he had touted it around the tabloid press, they were interested but feared repercussions from those involved!

For all those planning on heading East this year -last chance to get the latest updates.
Unaccustomed to public speaking as I am, I should be able to put a few words together. I will bring a stick with a few photos on. Will there be any kind of powerpoint etc?
I'll be coming on my little 250 as its big brother is still looking decidedly worse for wear after all those miles.

Hi all, could you confirm the dates for me please, I had a scan through but didn't see it. I came to the first one a couple years ago and would like to return this year if possible.

Ah, found it 5-7th April, I may not be able to make that date it's my sons 10th birthday on the 6th. I'll see if he will change it to the week after ;-)

Thanks Jim

Hi all,

Another two signed up. Me coming from near Guildford and my mate Billy from Bristol.

My wife and I returned 18 months ago from an 18 month trip from Alaska to Patagonia on early 1990s XT600s (me on a Tenere, my wife on a XT600E). mostly keeping to the back roads. In 2000 the same bikes did UK to AUS & NZ.

Looking forward to this event (it is much warmer in Cornwall, isn't it?)

Mark

Hi Tiffany,

I look forward to meeting you too.
Yes, I plan to buzz down on the old Tenere. Hopefully my TR250 will be reassembled in time to move it out of the way to get the Tenere out from the back of the crumbling stable!

Mark

Interesting photo Mez, I fear they are Piskie Kerlows Tifanias, in the pupa stage. they can be seen in early April, drying their wheels in the sun, before whizzing all over the place. They can swarm on wine or chocolate, so be careful. May get a sighting at Blue Hills.

That's great- we'll have quite a few old Mongolian hands at this event. Look forward to swapping stories over a glass of wine. Also I have a travel proposal for you and Nads...

Meanwhile Loo and Gary are trying to suss out numbers for ride outs - the road ride out is organised, they're wondering how many are interested in the off-road ride out?? Karl and Mavis are, come on the rest of you....

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
