Cornwall mini meet?

Anybody fancy a mini meet in Cornwall? Not deepest darkest Cornwall, SE Cornwall, a mere 20 miles past Plymouth.

There are plenty of green lanes in the area and I am happy to lead a trail ride. We have a cracking village pub within walking (staggering) distance. I am also pretty confident I can convince the Village Hall Committee to provide sleeping space (for a small contribution) so no need to worry about tents etc (if you insist, the village green come school field is very flat).

If somebody was able to lay on a presentation that might interest the locals it would be even better as the Hall Committee are trying to find ways of encouraging people to use the Hall.

Any interest?

Proper Job!

Well, I might be able to make it, but am only returning to Cornwall in December, so probably the new year for me, but PLEASE don't arrange it around me, as we have a six month old daughter and are just getting the hang of that bit of kit ....

I'd be up for a weekend in cornwall.

Confirm dates and I'll be ready for a trail ride and a meet up.

Thanks

Thumbs up I'm Home...

...and up for a meet. If you want a talk done about the Legend of Labrador (this year's trip) I'm happy to do one including pics of the wolves that chased me
Or just happy to meet up and chat. Any idea on dates yet as I'm not sure how long I'm home for

We're up for a Cornwall weekend but not for a few months (weather!), might be able to chat a bit over a few slides given enough encouragement.

Count me in

I'm all over that like a rash.

I'll keep an eye out for more details, dates and the like.
The gnarlier the trail riding the better (we'll just try and keep up with you Tiff, Thelma sounds like a pretty placid name, but we know the score)

See you all there!

We'll be in our car, but can follow on green lanes!

Ollie,
If this don't happen we'll come and camp in your front garden when you get one, still flying the green flag?

I have an interest ... never been to that exotic part of the world.

Depends if I am around when you hold it, of course.

Oh, and I have some great unpublished shots of Tiff snoring, while sprawled across a Mongolian hostel bed. This could be the ideal forum for them

Ok, looks like we can make this work. All we need to sort out now is a date. Being a teacher it will be easier for me if it is in the school holiday. This has the advantage that our aupair (cheap childcare, believe me) will be back in Spain meaning we have a bedroom spare. It will also mean 1 less person using the shower. The village hall so (right next to the house) has toilets but not showers.

If it is better for everybody else to avoid the holiday I will still be able to do something over a weekend. Let me know some dates and I will check the hall diary for availability.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
